M51/M1 Helmet Info,History,Details Etc.

Have looked through the 2 main helmet sites for info but havent been able to find out much and as there seems to be a couple of seriously hardcore Belgian collectors on here,thought it would be the best place to ask.

I dont collect Belgian stuff as such and have over the years seemed to acquire a number of Belgian M51 helmets of which they are quite different in various ways and know the plastic liners are much later but does anyone have any good links to sites or even decent pics of the history/timeline of these please as one of mine has sewn on chinstraps(machine sewn not hand sewn) and was just interested to find out more about these please.
