In the Winter, nearly every day, nothing beats Russian army Winter jackets IMO.
But also use russian gear for hiking, milsim (airsoft), different trips and so on, good pratical clothing.
On this Pictures from trip to Ukraine, I do have a British liner as top, but pants are russian ;-)

Usually when its cold I'll wear one of my bush jackets ( mostly my Rhodesian one) or when its really cold in winter I'll wear my US Woodlands pants, a long sleeve nutria brown shirt and my US Woodlands jacket. But only when I'm at home

I *try* not to wear anything that people serving in my own country's armed forces wear presently, or within the last 20 years. No woodland, no US digital, and no multi (as of now-- before it was adopted, I wore some certain things around active service-members, because it was appropriate at the time). I will wear ECW gear if arctic conditions arise, because I can't afford $300. REI snow gear, and anything less than government issue is inadequate for real cold.
Basically, I honor the "stolen valor" principal. I try not to look like I am anything but what I am; a nerd who has to work for a living. Repro stuff is cool-- and sometimes works well for doing things in the field, versus standard, polyester uniform attire or Carhartt. Tiger stripes were never issued to our troops, so I don't feel like too much of an idiot if I wear a Thai-made pair of repro pants to a party because I like them. I've used my blue flight suit to go spelunking, because it was functional, a bright color, and I could be easily discerned by it-- and I will use foreign police of air force kit while I am at work, because, once again, I am more comfortable in foreign cotton than domestic polyester. Blue is uniform-neutral, and people rarely notice it. Never any badges, or decorations. Ever.
I just hate polyester, I like having lots of pockets, and I like comfortable, roomy, functional attire, so yes, I wear stuff to work.

Its a very hard decision... Soooo much stuff to wear...
I will mostly wear the Lux gore tex with an Austrian KAZ03 fleece underneath or the Canadian OD.

--This year, I'm wearing a Platatac AUSCAM silkweight smock over a Primaloft ECWS jacket. Works nice, and cuts down on weight, significantly. For non-camo days, a Helikon copy of the PCS smock, in grey, over Helly Hansen Primaloft. That, right there, isn't collection material, or even military at all-- but it's nice, and civil, but still has the right flavour.
Cheers, TankBat.

Oh, and...
For rainy days, there's Singapore Gore, which is pretty awesome, except for the fact that the Velcro on the pockets stick to the Velcro cuffs. Nothing cooler, or more confidence-inducing than having your hand stick to your hip when you are about to gesticulate.

And, if I have to shovel snow-- yes, I wear my Arktis Tundra. Not rare, not issued to anyone, and probably not effective. Also, not part of my *collection,* exactly. Actually part of my wardrobe, I guess, though I only wear it two or three times a year.:

Yes, the Lux gore tex stuff is not easy to find. You can find the normal BDU style uniforms easier.

This year I am wearing my trusty M65 and a KAZ03 fleece jacket as a liner.
When it gets even colder, the M65 can be used in conjunction with an issue quilted liner ( and the KAZ03 fleece ).
For wet weather it's a Marpat Goretex with the KAZ03 liner as well.
Pretty hard to find a better fleece than the KAZ03 piece..

,,Pretty hard to find a better fleece than the KAZ03 piece,,-That's true, I already
equipped my whole family with at least one fleecejacket.
