Re: blue "tiger stripe"
As far as I know there are several models in use, whether officially or unofficially I don't know. There were slight differences, but one of them looks like the pictures I have found of actual ones in use. The other one looked like the commercial ones I see for sale on eBay.
What defines an original item vs. a commercial one?

Badges in the form of an eagle on this cap with ear-flaps does not approach. This sign is put on a crown of peak-caps.
And how much I remember, now in the Russian army it is excellent.

Sadly..a lot of sellers have Ushankas with random crap thrown on them, you have to have photographic proof of the cap badges to even figure out whats genuine and whats pieced together.

Re: blue "tiger stripe"
There are two distinct camouflage patterns (though VERY similar) and two distinct cuts of uniform (again, VERY similar). The easiest way to describe them:
1. Denser pattern, darker blues, whiter background, more cotton content, shoulder epaulettes, size tag with red sizing grid.
2. Larger pattern, lighter blues, blushish background, lighter artificial content cloth, no shoulder epaulettes, white tag with logo, orange stamp on inside button front.
Pictures below are Steven's (Type 1) and Philip's (Type 2)
Does anybody know anything specific about each? How about photos of each in use by OMAN or other forces?

Re: blue "tiger stripe"
I checked a half dozen pictures of blue tiger and all had epaulettes. I don't know if that means anything or not.

I'm sure some of the badging on this jacket of mine is fake, but is any of it correct?

Re: blue "tiger stripe"
I've never seen English tapes on uniforms, but there is such a thing as MVD Spetsnaz. I really don't know Russian uniform regulations, though.
