Finally found my DCU jacket tops and my boonie cap. I was more concerned about my boonie cap rather than the jackets; I wore the hat everyday I was in Iraq and only wore the DCU's a couple of times.

Now the boonie cap. I took the old CW2 rank off the hat and had CW3 rank sewn on prior to my second deployment, little did I know that I would not have the opportunity to wear any DCU styled uniforms the second go around. If anyone has any cloth desert CW2 rank laying around I'd like to get my hands on some to make the hat appropriate with the jackets.
Had the local sew shop embroider my last name in Arabic on the back of the hat. Soon after I had this done word came down from higher that Arabic language would not be allowed on uniform items.

We just call him Chief for now on !! My buddy is a WO3 as well , he's training to fly Apache Longbows right now , and I cant wait to get his gear !!
