Re: Mozambique uniform
Thanks Arch. I think I am going to have to leave some of my own clothing behind, just to fit all this into my luggage, lol.

Re: Mozambique uniform
My dólman, this one was intended for export to Mozambique but remained in OGFE warehouses until sold as surplus. It is similar to the m/985 Portuguese combat uniform.

Re: Mozambique uniform
Interesting that some Mozambique items were stored by the Portuguese military. I think it is usual practice for contracted material to go directly from the factory to the receiving country.
I missed Slaaibak's post until today. Very interesting to see the Chinese made Afghan Northern Alliance material being used for a Mozambique uniform. The material has been used for many commercial items since first being used for NA.

Re: Mozambique uniform
The OGFE belongs to the Portuguese Army and after the Mozambique Civil War ended it was decided to support the rebuild of the new Mozambique Armed Forces with equipment. Some lots of uniforms were not shipped (do not know why) and remained stored for years and that's why there are a few Mozambique uniforms in Portugal.
