Re: CE pattern
I recently picked up one of the final pattern Goretex parkas. I have to admit, I'm impressed with the construction and design. Mine is crispy new and unissued, direct from surplus stocks. I suspect these were surplused because of size. Yes, mine is 128C...une taille énorme! I have a 50 inch chest, and I have plenty of room.
I shot some detail photos to share with you all.
Indecently, seller claims that these are Foreign Legion only issue are false-yes, the Legion uses them, but of course so does the rest of the army.
Notes:
The pocket zippers seem a bit delicate. Not sure how well they hold up in use. The hood adjustment system is head and shoulders (so to speak) above my US issue Goretex, which is always falling down over my eyes and the high collar isn't as annoying as the US issue, which seems to be designed to jab into my face and neck. The shorter length of the French makes sitting in a vehicle with it on more comfortable, but unless you are wearing the complete suit, you're going to get wet from the waist down. The French jacket is unlined, and does not have a snow skirt like the US version. There is a stout bottom adjustment but no waist take up.

Re: CE pattern
Got a French plate carrier, produced in the UK by Arktis.
Any ideas, where possible could it use?
