It is amazing how many variations there are! I've got a pile of them too. I wish they made uniforms out of the Sumpftarn type pattern. That would be really sweet!
Hi all here's a few more interesting Swiss camo covers!! first is the alpenflage cover made to fit the M18 helmet!!! I've been searching for one for some time now!! and the second... is made from a swatch of experimental reversible Swiss camo!!.. this was only made in zelt/poncho and tent pole bags I believe.. but the Swiss were never ones to wast any surplus camo materiel and would use up anything they had on whatever they were making at the time!!( you see the sumpftarn helmet covers with the alpenflage bands!!...I'm still looking for one!!).... but this would seem to have been made to fit the Despatch riders helmet.. I bought all three items (M48/62 helmet and both helmet covers) separately from the same dealer!!.. I added the draw chord.. as the experimental cover was mint and unused!! and no draw chord was present!! it fits my M48/62 (Swiss made copy of the British WW II type!!) despatch riders helmet very well!!!
