Post by drmatz Fri Mar 11, 2011 5:34 pm

    Hi Guys,

i've being trying to identify this pants for a while.

Got this in early 2000's in fort bragg with other lizard items (including an iraqi lizard jacket)

Pants look legit to me, but i couldn't trace to any other known lizard pattern...

any help would be strongly appreciated.

I have the same exact trousers! Gilles said it is likely some African contract piece, I think.

    Hello
The pattern is a French F2 derivative pattern
I have 2 variant of this pattern
Existing in TAP56, F1 and various type of garment
Used by few "Francophone" African country
I will take pictures and post at the tread I have started : https://iacmc.forumotion.com/t4159-lizard-pattern-used-by-few-francophone-african-country
Same pattern as this Chad jacket you can see here: https://iacmc.forumotion.com/t3424-chad
You can see also here the pattern: https://iacmc.forumotion.com/t3481-burkina-faso
The officier seated at his desk has this pattern
The other pictures show a recent build of French TAP56 in the good F2 pattern

    Hi Steve, Gilles,

    Thanks for your help.
also i had a collector who suggested them being iraqi, he know is different from the regular iraqi lizard, but could had come from them, he pointed that because i got the pants in same group as i got the iraqi lizard jacket in fort bragg many years ago. (he asked me not to be identified because of what happened when i posted the pants at ICUS)

The tag was also a hint, because is written in 2 languages it could be a model for "export" only...

Anyway it is funny that nobody seems to have jackets or shirts of this pattern, only pants... in any case thank a lot for your help, for now i am keeping as "francophone" pants.

    cheers
