Another nice pack there Gary, Just need a set of L-straps and blanket/valise straps for it Very Happy If you havent already seen this site before have a look its a great reference for British ww1-ww2 webbing It ranges from the leather bandolier equipment through to patt 44, with everything in between. There is lots of good info and pics.

Who is the Mfr. of the pack? I have some BATA valise straps that match the canvas on yours...somewhere around here, that is. I will see if I can find them and post them for you. You can have them...no charge.

Sorry, I found the straps a few days ago and forgot to post them...they are unissued BATA straps and I'm guessing Indian made by the date stamped into one of the buckles(a feature I've noticed on Indian made webbing). BATA had factories in India, Britain, and Canada in the 40's, but the Indian made ones always seem to have dated brass buckles. Also, Indian canvas always seems to be the stripey kind and not a consistent color.

If you want these you can have them, I have several sets kicking around. Just PM me your addy and I'll fire them off to you.

From the weave of the webbing looks like an Indian made pack.
