That last pic is most interesting!

The material for this is originally Red Chinese - I picked up a long sleeve set of this pattern in Lhasa, Tibet in 1986 and also have pics from PLA references showing their recon troops wearing this before then.

There is quite an extensive thread on this uniform here

Based on these photos it looks like the Vietnamese Army still sets booby traps involving spikes and explosives. Does anyone have any info on this?

The rule of thumb on must remember when dealing with NVA camouflage .

Earth brown on the inside .....wartime .

Light green ......not .

I have seen some late 70s stuff being passed of .......but just follow this and you will be ok .
