NZDF issue coyote brown molle

1st pattern coyote brown vest and camelbak with black rifle butt grips which the lastest vest is missing, the basic set is
2 x Utility/Wbottle pouches
4 x 2 mag pouches
2 x FFD/Gren pouches
1 x Smk Gren pouch
1 x medium utility/gps pouch.

When you deploy on ex or ops you recieve your task specific pouches, LSW/40mm/shotgun etc, this is a 2009 Timor - Leste rifeman with code 5 hot weather boots and issued karabiner.

That's a nice looking bit of kit.

Has the NZDF done something similar to the USMC, with one colour/style of webbing and armour to be used with both temperate & desert uniforms?

yup they have all coyote now, and that vest is terrible i only took it because i had to. As soon as we were in country it got ditched and i used my old rig.

Are recruits using the belt order version yet?, be interesting to see when we go multi cam.

nah recruits still got the DPM stuff, trial for New Uniform starts Monday, and is being done here in camp bro

Any photos out there of the trial uniform? Those would be an interesting to see.

There also a drop leg panel for the shotgunners and 40mm.

Not that i know of, but I have seen a smock in Multicam that was made by platatac in Australia for the NZSAS

btw why is the top of the vest molle straps black in colour? Wat is it made of?

The black straps are made of rubber so that it stops the butt of the weapon slipping, the name tapes are standard shirt ones that comes with a velcro backing.

Its just a non slip grip material so that your weapon wont slip in the shoulder.

dont know about the pouches, never used this rig before

saw a photo today, pretty much the same as the current issue shirt but with ACU type pockets on the sleeves and some more pockets on the wrists, Trou is changing to, with more pockets and elasticated bottoms like the current issue Aussie ones.

Thanks, since late 09, the only thing I own from this are the velcro badges from my deployment there, the rest I have signed for and have to hand back when I get out or get imped! haha

ha ha ha Yeh when I eventually get fit enogh to join the army LOL . Infact that particula webbing set inspired me got me thinking too I put my beltorder together with a cheap arse airsoft vest ha ha. I must post up a link to my Militaria from NZDF sometime Manage to score real deal kevlar helmet old type and managed to make helemt straps utilising an old M1 Helmet too

you wouldent happen to be able to get hold of a pair of XL size NZDPM pants for me would you? Im real desperate for a pair bro if you can get a pair how much would you be wanting ?

Here are some close up shots of the pouches. First are the hydro pouch, the 1 of the right is mounted on the older style vest, not that the rear PALs arrangment means the pouch cant be centered.

Next is the zip up pouch.

Smoke and Frag pouch. Note each uses only 1 PALs tab which can make mounting an issue as the pouch is wider than 1 column of PALS.
