I got this helmet long time ago so I could play army in backyard. I got it for $20 in military surplus store. It had K-pot cover. I noticed cover doesn't fit perfectly on helmet, so I took it off. it's what it looked like. I asked at usmilitariaforum.com and they said it is more likely not from US. Which country it may come from?

Re: What is this helmet?
I'd say the people at USMF don't know what they are talking about. The liner is definitly US, with a late 70's sweatband. As for the pot, can you take the liner out and show us the inside? It looks like a US pot given to a 3rd World Military.Mercenary25 wrote:I got this helmet long time ago so I could play army in backyard. I got it for $20 in military surplus store. Re: What is this helmet?
Steven,
Does this helmet look anything like your Israeli paratrooper helmet???? That chin strap looks very familiar. Just can't place it.

Re: What is this helmet?
I don't think the liner is US because the straps inside couldn't adjust depth, only can adjust width. Which is uncommon.
However, I'm getting rid of it soon.

Re: What is this helmet?
I own a Israel helmet as well, it is no way similar to this helmet. If you look at it carefully, you would notice that it doesn't have seam in front (broken?). It has LC-2 chin straps and cheaply made liner (foreign knock-off?). Basically it is a junk helmet that was used for training purpose. But this helmet is quite mystery.

Re: What is this helmet?
This doesn't look US. I would say a M1 copy from a nation that stole our designs, Israel, Greece, Belguim, etc, dont quote me on which.
