Re: SEAL TEAM 4 jumper
Team 4 eh?
I see the Navy/Marine commendation on top, then 2 star achievement medal (green with gold bands), good conduct (solid red) with 4 stars, National Defense Service Medal, then next line; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, South West Asia service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, last line, NATO medal, Kuwait liberation(Emirate of Kuwait)medal, and lastly, US Navy Pistol Shot achievement medal....I think so far, that is quite legit, for someone who has been with Team FOUR since before the Desert Storm/Shield operations, and continuing into the Afghanistan actions, a career of about 15 years, that make sense for a SEAL to have stayed in that long in one of the TEAMS, as there's like 160+ personnel per team? i like the jumper! i dont see what's wrong with it...maybe USMF cant admit a SEAL can last 15 years

Re: SEAL TEAM 4 jumper
Hey!
How are those ribbons put together? That is very interesting-something I would like to try for my own ribbon rack.
Are they just flattened and glued to the plastic board, with 2 single ribbon device holders glued to the plastic backing?
At any rate,USMF is low on my list of "Authority" on anything-too many self appointed "expersts":when 2 people cannot agree about, say,a M1 helmet,or Ooooh,101st Abn Patch, you know there is a problem, which is why I no longer post there. I will browse,b ut never post.

Re: SEAL TEAM 4 jumper
The medals were put together, its a nice find tho! Most bases offer that style of mounting for the ribbons simply because they are a pain in the ASS when trying to do it yourself and not cheap when you mess them up all the time. Mounting is alot cheaper in the long run and most companies will update them for you at a small fee.
However most SEALS arent crappy enough shots to only merit a pistol ribbon and never even qualify for a rifle ribbon "without the Expert E's especially" those are kind of a gimme for any SEAL. Not to mention as many Good Conduct Medals is on that rack and being an operator his rack would be double that size. "I only did 6 years operational and mine was way larger than that... and SEALS do considerably more than I did."

Re: SEAL TEAM 4 jumper
I am not sure a SEAL would wear the Budweiser with a SWCC insignia ( no matter how pretty it is ).
Any secondary insignia would almost certainly be the golden USN/USMC para wings.

Not to ride a dead horse...
Hi all,
Was looking at the post again and had a brain fart.
I believe that a sailor who was awarded a good conduct medal with 4 stars (5 awards) would be qualified to wear golden hashmarks and insignia on the uniform, as opposed to the standard red ashmarks and red and white insignia.
Anyone have anything on that ? rip...
