    Question Empty Question

    Post by sh4pak Mon Sep 24, 2012 10:32 am

    --Hello, all.

Years ago, I remember reading that US fighter pilots carried several (like, 38, if I recall correctly) gold coins sewn into their flight webbing, to buy their way out of trouble if they got shot down. (Gold having been worth less than $40.00 per ounce through most of the conflict-- it is less than absurd to believe that this is true).

Can any of you verify this, and-- do any of you own such things? It would be an interesting to see, if you do.

    Cheers,

    Ask the USMF this question.
There are several on that forum who could help you on this.
