Inconsistent Size on Tags of NWU Type 1

So I found this at a surplus store recently.

It looks like a normal NWU Type 1


But it says "Medium Regular" on the tag by the neck and "Large Regular" on the lower body tag.



Production defect maybe?

Perhaps a distracted worker  

Wonder if this is an isolated incident, or if it is more widespread.

Having handled quite a few NWU uniforms of all types ( NWU I, II, III ), I can say that this is not something I have seen before.

Certainly a keeper...

It's the only one I've ever seen too. I've heard stuff about quality control issues in the early NWU's. I'm not sure when my example was made.

I'm considering selling it since I don't usually collect modern stuff.

I also found these Type 3 Pants which look like they never had the small size tag attached.



Don't know how common this is,but it looks like they're still having a few quality control issues.

Have handled well over a hundred different NWUs of all types and never saw any thing like this.

And you have 2 different tag issues ...

The NWU I ( blueberries ) has a pretty early production date ( '07 )if I read correctly, but the NWU III trousers are not late nor early production.

Crazy that you have wound up with 2 NWUs with issues in a sea of NWUs.  

So, what size is the Blueberry, Mediun, or Large ???
