Neither did I Recently I acquired some of the stranger pieces and assumed there was an established name for it. Turns out there isn't.

Re: My M84 stuff
Some news:
The future Nordic uniform has been named: Nordic Common Uniform system (NCU).
The project is to be run by Norway with Denmark as participant in the project to produce new combat uniforms. Finland and Sweden are observers and can participate later if they choose so.
The aim of the project is to procure a new common combat uniform that can be used in several conditions - eg. artic, tropical and desert.
Schedule:
Request for tenders first quarter 2017. Second quarter 2017 a competition for those companies who has bid - and deadline for tenders 3rd quarter 2017.
The duration of the tests of the uniforms produced by the different companies will be one year.
First issue of the new NCU 4th quarter 2019

I'm not sure if this means that Norway will adopt Multicam

Re: My M84 stuff
Cool info. But I honestly hope the Norwegians won't change to Multicam....
I still don't get it why Denmark did it....Or at least kept the M84 pattern.Multicam
would look more bad ass in dot camo. Just my opinion.

Re: My M84 stuff
I was able to grab another pair of Danish desert pants.Same size and same production date like my other pair. I just love the cut and the color. They look pretty identical.

Re: My M84 stuff
Who doesn't love Danish camo?
Yeah, I have to say the Danes are pretty consistent with the colors over the whole run of desert clothing. Not too bad on temperate either.

Re: My M84 stuff
I don't get it.
Back in my day we had a uniform for eath climate / theatre of war.
Trying to make a one uniform suits all is pointless. It'll be perfect for one and less than perfect for all the others.
Especially as today's armies are so small and that clothing is a small cost of the soldiers kit compared to webbing, armour, weapon etc ....

Re: My M84 stuff
Hi FobanX,
Your 1984 dated M/84 jacket bears the old insignia of "Gardehusarregimentet" (abbr. GHR) (Regiment of Guard Hussars). The regiment used to be based in Næstved, but is now located in Slagelse (after being merged with Danske Livregiment and Sjællandske Livregiment in 2001).
Best regards
Henrik

Re: My M84 stuff
Got some nice M/01 ripstop pants:
And interestingly non ripstop normal twill fabric M/01 ones made in 2012....I didn't
know they also made the old camo in a non-ripstop combat variant. Always learning something new....
Compared with M/11

Re: My M84 stuff
Nice! And awesome condition too! That 2012 one must be last production of the old Flecktarn.
There's actually three different types of those trousers in green Flecktarn; ripstop, regular weight, light weight
You should check out this thread for more detailed information:

That is the air force version, velcro on sleeves and pockets instead of buttons.

Re: My M84 stuff
Wow! I didn't know there was such a variant. I know that many other nations have specialized versions for ground crews that lack metal, but in this case there's still the zippers. So a little different than I've seen for others. But then again, the Danes are "a bit different". I know, I'm 1/4 Dane

Re: My M84 stuff
I just received a bunch of Danish stuff, including a used 2nd Model m/84 trousers. Doesn't match the condition of your jacket and it's a Size 1, otherwise I'd offer to send it over to Austria for you
