    Any ideas on these guys? They are both a rubberized cloth with thick wool lining. The one with the hook attatchment and lift the dots is rubberized cloth woth bronze hook. Posts and washers are blackened brass made by Knip Hier. Only marking is stamp on rear bottom 8465-17-052-96962 canteen covers Pict0010

    Second is more of an impregnated canvas. Has brass snaps and velcro attatchment. Snaps made by United Carr. Stamp on inside says Anglo Travers, July 1966. It has a grey wool lining.2 canteen covers Pict00132 canteen covers Pict00142 canteen covers Pict0015

    That first cover, looks like it has a US Army NSN on it. Don't know if this helps or not.

    Yes, it's an NSN but not US. Note the 17 =Dutch. 00/01 =US
    I could be wrong. But that's the way it usually should be...
