Thanks Graham.
That's a pretty crazy story Mate.
I personally prefer the look and feel of the Op Granby stuff, I plan to keep on collecting this era kit, as it's still readily available.
Thanks looking mate.

Hi Gary
You'll like this a few weeks back I was sorting through some old photos and found this pic of a fit bird in a set of DDPMS whereupon the wife saw it and the following convo took place
wife, whos that,
me, Jess I knew her before I met you
wife, she looks like a tart
me, yeh but she fills those dessies up well, OWWW after receiving a slap around the ear
wife, she still looks like a tart
me, thinking she might look like a tart but she was easy on the eye
I f I can find the photo again Ill post it

Hello Gary
Very, very nice collection. Particularly jackets with sets of patches. But I nowhere don't see FR UBACS.
And tell my - first assault vest with Your last post looks like WebTex vest. It is true or I wrong?
Whatever - U have really beautifull desert collection

Many thanks for the compliment Duncan
Yes the assault vest is definitely a commercial piece, not 100% sure if it's web-tex, but has been used overseas, has a zap number etc ( penned out but just visible)
My theory is that perhaps it was used by a TA sqauddie,I have spoken to a few TA guys through my work circles, and they have stated that they have used commercial pieces like these on deployment, so could well be a possibility for this piece.

What price did you pay out of interst as I struggled to get £25 when I sold one of my unissued ones ?
