Re: 50 shades of.... "San Marco"
Yes, it does looks like blouses are tucked into trousers in that photo as well as others.
Seems this is done when operational. Not commonly seen worn that way in garrison.
Also, I have not seen early type blouses being tucked in as they have front lower pockets that are lacking on the later types.

This following photo is most interesting as it shows both 2005 and 2009 types.
The cut is the same but the pattern is different.

The army does have an amphibious regiment. They are called Lagunari..

Thank you for clarification, Sal!
I suspected this, that's why I asked!
Do you have any picture of the appropriate Navy buckle?

Correction..
These are all 2005 type uniforms. This is the last independent Naval type pattern before change to Vegetato types for all branches.
Most of the differences are due to fading, but there were batches with dye problems that gave some a reddish hue as they faded.

Re: 50 shades of.... "San Marco"
Hi Andy..
Please take photos of the labels...You may need your ultraviolet light..
They both look like they could be " Mediterranean" patterns..
Try taking a photo of both blouses next to each other to see if there is a difference between them besides normal fading.

Re: 50 shades of.... "San Marco"
Hello Sal,
Its a shame, but the "magic" UV-lamp doesn't work with these two jackets and labels.
So it works, but not always...
I can see only white label and almost no inscription, but (as far as I can read on the Jacket #1):
SARCHI A BRUNI M
TENUTA MIMETICA DE COMBATTIMENTO...
TAGLIA ...?
contratto del 10? 12 ? 96 ?
Concerning jacket #2...
Before the washing the first jacket had the similar tag from the Post n°70

Re: 50 shades of.... "San Marco"
Interesting. Both are the Med "subtype"..
What is more interesting is the fact that they look virtually identical despite being from different manufacturers and having contract dates that are some years apart.
All of my MM/SM uniforms of this type have underarm ventilation and pocket metal grommets .
